Building a home is about respecting the emotional and financial significance of the home buyer's experience of going through the building process.

This philosophy was instilled in Jon Shafran while working on large development projects as a Project Manager under the guidance of two of the Hudson Valley's most respected homebuilders: Rubin Shafran, his father, and Robert Hankin. Jon created JK Development Corp. in 1990 and has carried on these ideas in his own companies' successful ventures.

Jon and his wife and business partner, Karen, live in Orange County and take pride in their family business. They have respect for the quality of life in the Hudson Valley and strive to contribute to the beauty and to perpetuate the charm of this region.
